There won’t be anybody walking over your head if you’re the lucky winner in the latest draw from the Mater Home Lottery. They’re offering up an opulent penthouse apartment in the Allegra, a brand-new residential complex in Southport, just steps from the waterfront.

The home is on the fifteenth floor and has incredible views of the ocean, the hinterland and the city. Southport is located just to the north of Surfer’s Paradise, with easy access to all the features, attractions and highlights of the Gold Coast. To make the draw even more attractive, Mater has thrown in an additional $550,000 in gold bullion. That’s enough to start a whole new life, take early retirement, or just enjoy the freedom that comes with having no financial worries.

The High Life on the Gold Coast

Thousands of visitors descend on the Gold Coast every year and owning beachfront property close to the heart of the action could soon be a dream come true. The first prize home in Mater draw #276 is a three-bedroom penthouse just minutes from the beach, and you’ll be able to watch the waves from your private balcony high above the city.

The Allegra was built in 2017 and has very distinctive architectural contours. The exterior of the building has a dramatic ripple, and this clever design allows all residents to have an unimpeded view from their balconies. The prize home is on the top floor and is one of only four apartments on that level. Across from the penthouse are three communal spaces that can be used to entertain guests or enjoy a quiet drink as you watch the sunset. They consist of two roof-top terraces and a fully equipped Residents Lounge that has a kitchen, bar and multi-media centre with free Wi-Fi.

The apartment itself is sumptuous, and all of the bedrooms have their own walk-in robe and ensuite. There won’t be any fighting over the remote either as there’s a wall-mounted flat-screen television in every room. The décor is muted and complements the abundance of natural light that flows through the floor-to-ceiling windows. This is understated elegance at its finest, and you’ll appreciate the effort that’s gone into designing every square inch of this superior residence.

If you can tear yourself away from the view, you’ll find plenty to keep you busy at ground level. The Southport Spit is minutes away, just over the Nerang River, and that’s where you’ll find Sea World, Main Beach and the Federation Walk Coastal Reserve. You can walk down to the Australia Fair Shopping Centre and won’t have to get in the car to find a host of multi-cultural dining options. Broadwater Parklands are a block away, as is the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. If you fancy a visit to Surfer’s, it’s less than 7 kilometres down the road and you’ll find public transport at your door.

The amount of gold bullion included in this amazing draw is quite spectacular. Having $550,000 in gold bullion at your disposal is a real game-changer. You could soon be moving up your retirement plans, starting your own business, of buying a nice yacht to leave at the marina you’ll be able to see from your bedroom window. This really is a draw with endless possibilities.
